Engineering Challenge

Create a recognizably different mouse by treating proportion, gesture, surface continuity, and visual identity as primary design requirements.

Approach

I used SOLIDWORKS surfacing and a master-model workflow to control the form, separate component boundaries, evaluate appearances, and build animations from one coherent source of geometry.

Results

The project developed my surfacing, master-modeling, rendering, and animation skills while treating aesthetics as a functional design requirement.

Key Outcomes

1cohesive master model
  • Practiced complex surface construction and continuity
  • Built a master model that coordinated multiple components
  • Produced both technical and rendered animations
